Brainwaves 1
Our brain is an electrochemical organ made up of billions of brain cells
or neurons which use electric impulses to communicate with each other. An
electric impulse of a brain cell is converted in a chemical signal in the
synapse. Consequently, the chemical signal is changed into an electrical
signal in the receiving brain cell. That’s why the functioning of the
brain is sometimes compared to an electrochemical factory.
‘The combination of electrical activity of the brain
is commonly called a Brainwave pattern, because of its cyclic,
‘wave-like' nature. Our mind regulates
its activities by means of electric waves which are registered in the
brain, emitting tiny electrochemical impulses of varied frequencies, which
can be registered by an electroencephalogram’
(EEG).

Psychological experiments ‘using EEG machines indicate a direct
correlation between differing states of mind and brain-wave frequency.’
(…) ‘Our emotional states are often a complex soup of overlapping feelings
and mixed thoughts, and therefore the brain is constantly emitting
multiple frequencies at any given time. EEG machines can read the dominant
frequencies emitted by the brain (near the skull) with accuracy to the
millisecond. An EEG chart shows oscillations of varying frequencies
corresponding to the dominance of the brainwaves detected.’

A message of hope:
Not the brain but the
human heart is the strongest generator of both electrical and magnetic
fields in the body. “Every thought in the human mind sends out
an electro-magnetic wave from the base of the heart that has a
measurable effect upon the world in which we live. The human heart is
the strongest generator of both electrical and magnetic fields in the
body. The heart is up to 100 times stronger electrically and up to 5000
times stronger magnetically than the brain. The world as we know it is
made of those two fields of energy: electrical and magnetic, i.e.
electro-magnetic fields. The human heart is designed to change both the
electrical and the magnetic field of our bodies and our world. And they
do so in response to the emotions that we create between our heart and
our brain. All matter is simply vibrating sound waves. Sound creates
form. Each thought sends a powerful wave of information which helps
shape the world around us. Each different thought sends out a different
frequency. The many crises we face may be much lessened by the awesome
power of our unified hearts. We are fundamentally and deeply
interconnected with each other and with the planet itself.”
